Constellium's Aluminium sculpture is unveiled

One of our key industrial partners, Constellium, joined forces with Brunel University London and Artem to create Brunel’s commemorative sculpture to celebrate its 50th year.

Titled ‘Connect’, the design was based on an idea generated by a competition open to Brunel students.
The sculpture, which sits near the Arts Centre on Brunel's campus, consists of five inward facing individuals, with a space where a sixth character would be; a visitor is effectively invited to participate by standing in the gap to connect with the other characters.

The chosen material for the sculpture was a weather resistant aluminium alloy, in 15 mm plate. The sculpture was officially unveiled on 21st September 2016.
